Hugely affective for my mobility issues

I’ve had to seriously reconsider my shoe choices at age 40. Aches that I could deal with the last 10 years became debilitating mobility issues. In addition to physical therapy, I purchased these sandals as well as the T-100 and T-75 inserts. I mostly have used the sandals since I began PT and changed my shoe priorities to address the injuries. I would attribute something near 50% of finally solving my foot/leg/lower back chain issues to these Cascade sandals. Truly remarkable. I find that walking several miles with them is even preferential to the T-series inserts in my existing workout sneakers, but now that’s making me rethink and buy new sneakers to continue the journey (using the T-Series inserts in my everyday shoes has been the other major game-changer), but shockingly walking in these sandals for miles alleviates pain that is developed from walking the same distance in the sneakers. I’ve owned this product for only a month and have attained this result so… call me a believer. I’ll also mention I called Protalus to verify the sandal fit because I didn’t believe I’d wear a size that small, they were immediately available to speak with, and I still ordered a size slightly larger than they recommended and they arrived slightly larger than I probably needed, so marking down Just Right on fit.

My sandals

Awesome sandals super comfortable. No break in required. I have a narrow foot and I would love it if these came with a narrow footbed option.

Great for walking

These sandals are great! I wore them hard straight out of the box. Old streets and hills of Europe for 8 hours a day and they were so comfortable. They did not disappoint.

Love the fit, but why are they so heavy

I walked about a mile in these and did get blisters on one foot. My gait is different on that side, so that’s not unusual. I love that they don’t have the ridge under your toes, and they’re plenty wide for my EE feet.

Protalus

Thanks for the feedback, Michelle! We'll pass that along to our design team. The materials are designed to stand up to long hours on hard surfaces so they're a bit heavier than a non-orthotic sandal in order to provide the correction as well as comfort. The ability to accommodate people who don't like the toe bar and have wide feet were two design choices that were requested and we wanted to make a sandal to help as many people as possible. :) Thanks again; we appreciate you!

Best Regards,
Nick
