I have damaged my arch from years of abuse and 15 years ago I had a pair of custom arch supports made for me at $150. They lasted for 8 to 10 years before they broke. Recently my wife directed me to Protalus because she really liked the insoles she purchased, so we visited their store and got help with fitting.
My first pair was the half-sole arch support and they were as great as the far less expensive Protalus insoles. I use these insoles in my "hiking boot" work boots, Duluth Kesugi Ridge and Keen Targhee trail shoes with equal comfort in all.
Since then I've returned to the store and purchased additional insoles and my preference now is the full-length insole. The ache in my damaged arch is gone when I wear the insoles and I'm so thankful that we discovered this great company.
