Karla L Booker MD

I'm an active physician, who lived in high heels my entire adult life. When menopause hit 2 years ago, I started a C25K program to battle early diabetes. I was doing great, until I developed both plantar fasciitis and achilles tendinitis and was barely able to walk without pain. I tried all kinds of inserts and gizmos prescribed by my podiatrist - and still spent 6 months unable to wear anything but the ugliest orthopedic shoes. 3 months ago, I got back to my program and developed runner's knee! Even walking downhill was painful and unstable. I had heard of Protalus during my initial injury but was skeptical. I'm kicking myself now. The very first time I wore my Protalus inserts around the house for a few hours - as suggested - I had absolutely NO PAIN! I didn't want to take them off! In one week, my foot-ankle-knee-hip misalignment is improved! Wearing flat sandals today, NO PAIN! I can see being back on my walk-run program in the next 2 weeks! Miraculous! (So glad I bought 2 pair!) Thank you!
